Why should you hire me?

I am an Englishman who ended up in Sweden because I married a lovely Swedish woman in 2013. We have three children, one together and two from my first marriage - my first wife died of cancer in 2010 when the children were young. It was tough for me and the children, of course, but I enjoy my new life in Sweden and have a lot to be grateful for! As a person, I am driven by compassion and by being a kind human being!

We moved to Torsby, Värmland in 2020. My wife is from Torsby and we wanted to live closer to family. I am preferably looking for work near Torsby or work that can be done remotely. I am very service orientated and passionate about people! IT is there to help people!

I've always been interested in computers and built my own when I was younger. I started my IT career as an IT manager in a small IT department that I set up at one of the UK's largest sports federations and then I was an IT consultant to small businesses/self-employed people and individuals for a few years before moving to Sweden. I therefore have quite a broad knowledge in IT.

In Sweden I worked over 5 years as an IT technician at Erikshjälpen. At Erikshjälpen I created the IT strategy together with the financial manager and led an Office 365/Microsoft 365/Azure management project. Erikshjälpen has around 100 central staff in Sweden, 300 store staff in around 60 stores in Sweden/Norway, 4000 volunteers and 4 offices abroad. We had about 500 Office 365 and 200 AD user accounts.

I am bilingual - Swedish and English

I have been working with Microsoft products for 30 years

If I can't solve the problem myself, I'll find someone who can, without you having to look any further!

I can be the intermediary between the company and its other IT suppliers to deliver large and small projects such as new IT system, new website, new hardware - I speak their language but am on your side!

I believe that IT products and services exist to make everyday life easier, not more complicated!

I have contract clients from 2 hours per month up to 10 hours per month as well as clients who choose to buy hours on demand or pay a fixed price for a project. What works best for you?

Hourly rate example: company without contract 750 SEK ex VAT - with contract 500 SEK ex VAT (minimum 2 hours per month)

How can I help you?

IT device management (device management) is the process by which organisations manage, maintain and secure all their devices, such as computers, mobiles and IoT devices, remotely and centrallyThe service enables remote configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of the devices to create a secure and efficient IT environment.

Network & internet

Network management is about monitoring, controlling and securing networks and internet connections to ensure effective and secure communication. This includes setting up strong passwords, using secure encryption such as WPA3, configuring firewalls, and regularly updating software to protect against threats such as intrusions and malware. You can also compartmentalise your network, for example by creating separate networks for guests, and use VPNs to encrypt data when browsing public networks.

Web design & website management

Web design is about creating the look and function of the website to meet business objectives and user needs, while website management involves keeping the website updated, functioning and optimised over time. This includes designing a responsive and user-friendly layout, creating visually appealing graphic elements and ensuring a fast loading speed and good SEO (search engine optimisation). Website management is a continuous process of analysis and optimisation, often data-driven, to ensure that the website remains relevant and effective. .
